Transportation
The easiest way to reach Ponta de São Lourenço is by car. Drive east from Funchal towards Machico, then follow the signs to Caniçal and Ponta de São Lourenço. There is a parking area at the trailhead. Alternatively, you can take bus number 113 from Funchal to Baía d'Abra. The bus stop is a short walk from the start of the hiking trail.
